Stress: Causes and Effects. This  will  discuss  the physiology of stress and the relationship between mind and body. Topics: What  is Stress?  Stress  &   Performance,  Are  You  Stressed? (Symptoms), Stress Diseases.

  Stress: What is Your Score?  Knowing where your stress levels stand  is  very  important  in  planning  the   Stress Management strategies. Topic: Measure Your Stress.

  Stress: How To Manage  it  Before  it  Gets  You!  A step by step guide to manage your stress. Topics: How to manage, Physiology Of Relaxation, Special Stressors and  Final Tips.

  Stress: Special Stressor's Management: This section will deal with management of  special  stressors  like  personality,  life change events, anger, anxiety, passive  behaviour,  time,  body management etc. Brief discussions  on  role of exercise, nutrition, meditation, self hypnosis, yoga, and breathing exercises etc viz a viz their role in Stress management are also included.

 Any suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Many of you will be wondering what a Dermatologist has to do with Stress Management. Here is why!

  1. Skin and Brain develop from neuro-ectoderm and are interrelated with each other. Physiological and pathological changes taking place in one can affect the other and vice versa
  2. Treatment of many Skin diseases like Psoriasis, Lichen Planus, Neurodermatitis, Urticaria, Pruritus etc etc are never complete without managing the stress which might have induced, maintained or aggravated the condition.
  3. As a trained hypnotherapist and a State Trainer of Indian Junior Chamber(Jaycees), my special Interest has been Stress Management
  4. I have been trained by Prof.Rooshi Kumar Pandya, who is a well Known hypnotherapist and visiting professor in many Canadian and USA Universities
  5. As a Jaycees Trainer and Dermatologist, I have conducted scores of Stress management Classes for the Lay Public,Doctors,Professionals and Patients and was always happy to see how well people received my training programmes.
